The Dunes

Project Brief

Located in Rye on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, The Dunes Golf Course is defined by the undulating terrain and striking natural beauty of the Peninsula.

Comprising of a collection of buildings including 26 accommodation units, civil works, and roads. The built environment has been formed from timber and steel framed construction with predominantly spotted gum cladding.

Bunkered within its rural setting, The Dunes Golf Course has emerged from a dedication to materials that are resilient to local coastal conditions -- those that will wear in, not out -- and largely procured from local suppliers. Alongside these sustainable measures, the project employs solar passive design methods ensuring it is efficient as well as aesthetically cohesive.
