Drawing inspiration from the use of timber internally and externally of the original 70's pole style house the owners purchased and used as a holiday house for 15 years, this new modern design with ziggurat geometry has been formed to showcase the extraordinary view.

The home features 5 levels culminating with a roof top champagne terrace with both ocean and bay views. 21 concrete piles were installed to imbed the three-car garage into the sand dune, with stacking the other rooms and levels on top of the garage, access via the lift at the entry makes traversing up the view easily done. The master bedroom and study with calming view to the bay through the waving grasses of roof garden is separated from the other rooms of the house which are at times shared with extended family. The successful completion of this home did not come without its challenges, in particular the steep slope of the site, maximizing views from every level while keeping within the maximum height regulations.
